Last Thursday was Thanksgiving here in the US. It’s a day to relax with family and enjoy a nice meal together. And especially think about what we are thankful for. I hope you had a chance to spend time with those you care about.

I know I haven’t been very active with my website and instructional videos for a while. Several things came up in our life that made me put my online activities on hold. And it is these things I am thankful for this year.

First, we sold our house and bought a new one. We only moved a half mile away to just the next neighborhood. It is nice because we are still in a familiar area. But the difference in the feel here is very noticeable.

The house is bigger with a lot more room for living and for our work. The kids no longer have to share a bedroom and have lots of other kids to play with. The biggest thing is there is enough room for both my wife and I to have our own office space.

So I have been working on getting my new office set up the way I want it. I put in a new cork floor last week. And now am working on sound panels for the walls to cut down on the significant echo/ring in the room which would make recording new video classes very unpleasant.

We had to put a lot of things in storage in order to show our house for sale. So now I am getting my equipment back out and into the new studio. I’m excited to start bringing new video lessons to you in the near future.

Another thing I am thankful for is my Dad’s successful battle over Cancer this summer. He had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, which fortunately is one of the most treatable forms. It was a tough summer and he has a lot of weight and strength to regain. But we are hopeful his recovery will be permanent.

I am also working on getting an update to the website. I have noticed several things not working right, the biggest being the services page not displaying. I haven’t found a way to fix it so I’m just going to start over. So if you notice things not looking right that is the reason.

I’m excited about the future and being able to help more people learn to understand their voice. Today I have a video on the topic of How to Open the Mouth for Singing. It is a very fundamental aspect of what we are doing, but I think it often gets glossed over and not fully understood. So here are some things to think about as a starting point for understanding how to open your mouth.
